Play CTF is an open-access, non-profit platform designed exclusively for educational purposes, cybersecurity skill development, and professional skill showcasing.
- The challenges spanning various categories—including Web Exploitation, Cryptography, Reverse Engineering, Binary Exploitation, and Cloud Security—are strictly simulated or safely contained environments.
- Any tools, techniques, exploits, or concepts discussed or utilized on this platform are intended to teach defensive and authorized offensive security strategies.
2. No Liability for External Misuse
HackerHub8 LLP does not condone, encourage, or tolerate unauthorized hacking, data breaches, or malicious cyber activity.
- User Actions: You are entirely responsible for how you apply the knowledge, methodologies, and concepts learned on Play CTF.
- No Indemnification: HackerHub8 LLP, its partners, and platform administrators explicitly disclaim any responsibility or liability for malicious, illegal, or unauthorized actions taken by users outside the scope of this platform.
3. "As-Is" Provision and File Download Safety
To provide authentic training scenarios, Play CTF allows users to download mock binaries, network captures, memory dumps, and source files (such as .exe, .apk, .pcap, .raw, and .sol files).
- No Warranties: All challenges, downloadable lab files, software snippets, and infrastructure components are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- Malware & System Safety: While we review administrative and user-created CTF submissions, we do not guarantee that challenge files are completely free of bugs, configuration defects, or logical errors.
- User Responsibility: You acknowledge that downloading and executing binaries or analyzing files provided on the platform is done at your own discretion. We highly recommend running all offensive security analysis inside isolated virtual machines or sandboxed testing environments.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable Indian law (including the Information Technology Act, 2000), HackerHub8 LLP, its partners, mentors, and administrators shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to:
- System crashes, data corruption, or hardware instability resulting from running laboratory files or software.
- Platform downtime, missed competitive score windows, or temporary errors in leaderboard ranking and point distribution.
- Unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure your login credentials.
5. User-Generated Content and Third-Party Links
Play CTF features community interaction through interactive forums, public team pages, and user-submitted custom challenges.
- No Endorsement: We do not automatically endorse, validate, or take legal responsibility for views, advice, external links, or code payloads posted by users on our forums or within team descriptions.
- Removal Right: While we reserve the right to remove malicious, abusive, or copyright-infringing content through our reporting systems, the primary legal liability for user-generated content remains with the individual creator.
6. Voluntary Donations
The donation function on Play CTF is provided strictly to support the hosting costs, server maintenance, and non-profit operations of this community infrastructure.
- Making a voluntary donation does not constitute a commercial transaction, investment, or purchase of equity in HackerHub8 LLP.
- Donations do not guarantee uptime, nor do they grant the donor special immunity from our platform anti-cheating systems, terms of service, or code of conduct.
- All community donations are completely final and non-refundable.
